Protective vents for small appliances and sealed containers
Temperature changes, hot vapor and repeated opening cycles can create pressure differences inside insulated tumblers, compact kitchen appliances and sealed household containers. A controlled vent path can make pressure release more predictable while helping reduce liquid splash-back.
Shieldzone evaluates enclosure volume, vapor load, target pressure difference, available vent area, mounting location, cleaning exposure and adhesive compatibility before recommending an ePTFE protective vent structure.
This application differs from outdoor electronics: the design must account for warm vapor, possible food-contact-area integration, washing conditions and the risk of the vent being covered by liquid during use.
