Direct answer

Place a protective vent where it has a clear internal and external airflow path, is protected from standing water and mechanical damage, and can be assembled and inspected consistently. Final placement must be validated in the complete enclosure.

Avoid blocked flow paths

Keep the active area clear of ribs, foam, cables, labels, coatings and narrow internal pockets. External covers may be used for splash or impact protection, but they must leave enough open area for the required pressure response.

Consider water and assembly

Avoid low points where water can remain on the membrane unless the design provides drainage. Confirm bonding access, placement tolerance, surface flatness and inspection method, then test the enclosure in its expected orientation and exposure conditions.
